Reimbursement Policy
Certification No. 11-1981-82 from the Council on Higher Education established at its meeting on July 8, 1981, that when students withdraw from a class during the first two weeks of an academic semester or during the first week of the summer session, these students will have the right to receive tuition reimbursement of 50% of the tuition paid. This excludes other regular and special charges, as detailed in Certification No. 1-1981-82. Curricular Letter No. 83-7 of October 31, 1983, establishes this policy. For a uniform application of the policy, the following was established:
- The Institution will reimburse 50% of the cost of tuition paid, both for partial and total withdrawal.
- To qualify for reimbursement, the partial or total withdrawals must occur during the first two weeks of classes of a registration period other than the summer, or in the first week of the summer session.
- The reimbursement will be calculated on the total amount paid for credits that are withdrawn as stated above, and not on other regular and special charges listed in the certification No. 1-1981-82, which are non-refundable.
- The officials responsible to calculate of the amount to be reimbursed will ensure that the quantity has been previously paid and is not part of a deferred payment.
