My name is María del C. Ramos Álamo. I'm a senior undergraduate student at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras studying Discrete Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics. I have participated in three summer internships in different areas (academia, government, and industry); these have been on the University of Pittsburgh, Los Alamos National Laboratories and the National University of Singapore, respectively. I'm interested to continue graduate studies in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Psychoacoustics (perception of sound) and Speech Recognition. I would like to work with improvements in cochlear implants.
