B.A. Student at UPRM
Jahannie Torres-Rodríguez is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering specialized in Software, combined with Business Development and Virtual Education at UPRM. Stanford University selected her to join University Innovation Fellows and become an agent of change in higher education. This program, along with UPRM E-ship Network helped Jahannie to co-found the first makerspace at UPRM, the Tech Blast Conference and the Solidarity Scholarship for disadvantaged communities. After working in several internships, projects and researches, she realized that her passion lies in combining technology, entrepreneurship, and education to create a better society. Her most recent venture is co-founding Edvo, an educational-technology startup to improve the educators’ professional development process.
